Collection: Hiking from Ohiya

Ohiya which is located in the district of Badulla is one of the most picturesque locations in Sri Lanka while the Badulla railway line also runs through the town which makes travel convenient. On a clear day, the Ohiya Gap boasts of having views that extends up to the Southern coast of Sri Lanka. There are many hikes that can be organized while there are various difficulty levels that you can choose from. Locations include a hike to the Kirigalpoththa Mountain Range via the Horton Plains National Park and a hike to the Devil’s Staircase which takes you to the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Another hike includes a trek along the borders of Horton Plains via the rail tracks starting from the Pattipola Railway station.
