A product by Jeevi Tea, Neeramulliya which is more commonly known as Ikiriya among Sri Lankans is a herbal tea that is used for its health benefits. All parts of the Ikiriya plant have been used in Ayurvedic practices for centuries while it is popularly used in the prevention and control of urinary disorders. Neeramulliya is a perennial herb that grows in moist and wet places.
The plants nutrients has compounds to protect the liver while acting as a diuretic. The tea has the potential to act as a blood purifier and detoxifier while also controlling body heat, wounds and constipation issues. It may treat weaknesses of the nervous system while it deals with kidney stones too. Ikiriya deals with menstrual problems in women too.
Directions of use : Place a tea bag in a cup of hot water and let it infuse for about 3 - 4 minutes. Then press the tea bag with a spoon to get the entire goodness and flavor from the tea bag to the cup. Add sugar if desired and enjoy the goodness of Neeramulliya.
