Experience:

Start your journey at 0700 hrs from the gates of Colombo Port and proceed to Kandy en-route make a pause at Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, renowned for its variety of plants which are, ornamental, decorative & medicinal. More than 4000 species including indigenous and introduced plants. This garden is best known for its collection of orchids which is the largest in Asia. (Visit Time: 1 to 1½ hrs)

Thereafter go on city and shopping tour in Kandy City. Watch master craftsmen create intricate designs from scratch in the woodcarving center. Go to the gem museum to gain more knowledge on jewels and how they are crafted. Make purchases that will be great additions to your home or as a gift to a friend.

After the city tour have lunch at a place of your choice (at your own expense).

After the lunch, visit the Temple of the Tooth a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was built in the 16th century as the place of veneration and protection for Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth. Walk through the beautifully embellished passageways and elaborately painted halls, done in red, cream and black.
