Lakpura Bummadiya is a traditional Sri Lankan clay pot drum, shaped like a water vessel and decorated with colorful motifs. This single-faced drum (6-8 inches in diameter) is covered with animal hide and played during paddy harvesting in Kandyan villages. Suspended from the shoulder with a Savaram, it is also known as Kala Ham or Kalabera, preserving Sri Lanka’s folk music heritage.
